The Wake Up Call

My wake up call happened on January 6th, 2015.  It was the week of the new year and I’d received an email that shifted my mind in a new direction.  I knew at the very moment while sitting in my cubicle I had to PIVOT.  It’s interesting how a moment in time can change your entire thought process.  That was my wake up call to action.  I went to work everyday for 4 month like an actress on the set of a movie.  I threw myself into my work, “kept my eyes on my own paper” to plot and plan my next move.

The wake up call rang so loud in my internal ear that I started networking and making myself visible at work.  Very few people knew I was unhappy because of the daily oscar winning performance I gave. I invoked the concept of “Bloom Where You’re Planted” to kill it at work.  I worked long and hard hours and received a solid merit increase and nice bonus. I knew I wanted to invest in myself, so I purchased a MacBook Air.  My MacBook is the central operations center of my boutique business.

Here’s (3) points to ponder when you get your wake up call:

  1. Plan before you take action

  2. Be strategic

  3. Bloom where you’re planned

Welcome to the Posh way of life!
